Every once in a while restaurants and hotels in Bali are collaborating to create an amazing culinary experience. And we are bringing you the newest and hottest collaboration for the month, located in Ubud Bali.

What is happening in Ubud?
A month-long residency for Restaurant Nusantara by Locavore at The Westin Ubud. This is a change of scenery from their normal venue in Ubud center to a stunning location in the landscape and jungle views within the property of The Westin Ubud.

When is this going to happen?
Starting from 1st October, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nusantara will be open for diners from 18:00 onwards.
They will be showcasing the ‘Taste The Forgotten Craft’ set menu and also have their à la carte menu options too.

What will be the concept?
“Taste The forgotten Craft” is their culinary concept for this residency.
“Indonesian cuisine is so very diverse and broad in scope that it’s impossible to easily categorise and define. And that’s one of the many, many reasons it continues to be so rewarding to work with, as you just never stop learning. Along the way, we have ‘learnt’ a lot about the origins of the food, the ingredients, the techniques and cultures that create them. We wanted to try to showcase some of these insights and share the often forgotten crafts that helped create today’s Indonesian cuisine” says The Westin Ubud’s representative.

Like its name, which means archipelago in Indonesian, chef Putu along with his team of sous chefs from Bandung (West Java) and Medan (North Sumatra) bring lesser-known recipes, ancient wood fired cooking techniques and the best of Indonesian ingredients.
