The Mulia’s signature Chinese restaurant, Table8, obviously will take the center stage of this year’s CNY; with authentic Cantonese-style cooking that will represent two essential heritages; Nian Gao and Yee Sang.

Yee Sang : Vibrant CNY Dish

Made of glutinous rice, Nian Gao is traditionally consumed during the new year as it is believed to bring good fortune and it is a symbolism of self-improvement. Packaged in Mulia signature decorative boxes, the Nian Gao is perfect as an exclusive gift for your family or colleagues.

Yee Sang at Table8 is the contemporary version of Yee Sang service is presented in Chinese New Year celebrations held in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. It usually consists of strips of raw fish, mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients. It is considered as a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigour. Every ingredients used on Yee Sang symbolize certain meaning and prayers in specific ways; raw fish means abundance throughout the year, pepper attract wealth and treasure, sesame seeds means prosperity for the business, and so on, and so on.
