Locavore ongoing pop-ups and travels to different venues continues to keep the team busy and excited about new challenges and adventures. The pots and pans get the chance to hit the road again and visit some new kitchens and wonderful venues with the new collaboration with Marriott Bonvoy. In association with Marriott Bonvoy participating hotels around in Indonesia, Locavore is getting ready for Locavore City Breaks 2020.
Marriott has opened their kitchens and bars at The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta and JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya starting from November 5th throughout the month. This ‘first leg’ of the tour will feature a combination of dinners with Locavore, bar takeovers with Night Rooster cocktails and weekend Butcher’s Table feasts.
“It was a gradual decision to use local ingredients. We started using a few at the
beginning but our commitment continued to grow. I’m very proud to use ingredients
that are not imported; I wish more Indonesian chefs would do so. There are so many
benefits all round.” Says Locavore representative.
The current Pancaroba Season tasting menu at Locavore will also feature some of the ‘greatest hits’ either snacks or dishes that people often request or have that nostalgic vibe.
The Night Rooster team have been busy working on some new creations to try and always enjoy visiting new bars. And finally, ever-popular Butcher’s Table events will bring out the carnivores for organic, ethical meats cooked as a feast for the eyes and taste buds.
