Sprawls across vast rugged natural beauty of West Bali National Park, The Menjangan Invites the guest to partake in a unique adventure-filled wilderness experience; kayaking through secret mangrove maze, diving or snorkeling in one of the most beautiful coral reefs in Bali or venture through the forest or horseback all wrapped in warmth hospitality and five-star luxurious amenities.

Located in the heart of the unspoiled West Bali National Park on the island’s stunning north-western coast, The Menjangan is a peaceful nature- bound five-star resort for those tranquil seekers and adventure-enthusiast alike. Built into the forest and spreads across 382 hectares, The natural environment plays a huge part in The Menjangan’s appeal, and the focus here is on outdoor living: the suites and villas, which are made from wood and thatch, large windows and wide balconies on which to relax. The interiors are made with contemporary style in mind; with natural textures and colours in the soft furnishings, and furniture is crafted from locally sourced wood.

Although it took roughly four-hours to reach from Ngurah Rai International Airport, fret not! A trip to The Menjangan will surely worth your while. Expect to spot some of Bali’s exotic animals during your stay; including Sambar deer, Macaque monkeys, and some of the rarest birds in the world, ‘Jalak’ / Bali Starling. There are also several top-notch diving spots around the resort’s pristine shoreline, including the world renowned Menjangan Island diving spot which in only 20-minutes boats away.

There are three main types of accommodation in The Menjangan; namely 14 deluxe rooms (50 sqm) and 2 Suites (75 sqm) Monsoon Lodge, 7 one bedroom beach front villas (105 sqm) and 3 bedroom The Residence (1000 sqm); which boasts a private swimming pool & living room, and butler service. Once upon your arrival to the room, you’ll be welcomed by a complimentary fruit basket. Exposed beams and wood floors give the rooms a rustic vibe. The decorating scheme takes its cues from nature, as in the en-suite bathroom with stone floors. Besides the regular rooms, you can get a bit of the scenery to yourself with a private beach villa. The Monsoon Lodge suites, a 10-minute drive from the beach, are tucked into the forest and around a swimming pool. The luxurious Beach Villas – which have outdoor bathrooms, wide decks, daybeds, sun beds and beanbags – are on the waters’ edge, next to resort’s Pantai Restaurant. The suites and villas have minibars, tea and coffee-making facilities and an array of eco-sensitive, locally made toiletries.

To ensure the guest’s comfort during their secluded stay—especially to dine or chill, The Menjangan offers several prominent in-house facilities; including two restaurants with spectacular locations: Pantai Restaurant; a wooden platform wraps around mangroves and stands over the shallow water and The Bali Tower restaurant; which boasts magnificent vantage views across the park towards the volcanoes of Java. All of the menus includes Western and Indonesian delicacies, with ingredients sourced locally whenever possible. The resort other facilities such as dive centre, forest running trail and gym, horse stables, spa, pool and beach are spread evenly throughout the resort’s extensive land, and can be conveniently accessible by hitching the open-air buggies. The resort’s spa sanctuary is tucked into the mangroves, where carefully positioned mirrors offer an uninterrupted sea view during your pampering massage session.

The idea behindTheMenjangan was truly simple: to create the perfect nature retreat located in one of the most beautiful yet least visited parts of the wonderful island of Bali. This philosophy is fantastically implemented through their concept and hospitality; which establish an intimate boutique hideaway where guests can escape the outside world and share the natural beauty of Bali with their partners, friends or families.
